Hedley Owls: A Season of Pride and Perseverance
The Hedley HS Boys wrapped up their season tonight—not with a win, but with pride shining brighter than ever. Despite facing low numbers (girls and boys) throughout the season and dealing with game cancellations due to illness, the Hedley Owls never gave up. Their determination and resilience were unmatched.
We are incredibly proud of the perseverance shown by both our boys and girls this year. A heartfelt thank you to Coach Grant and Coach Hicks for their unwavering dedication and for never backing down from the good fight.

Important Health Reminder for Parents/Guardians
We kindly ask all parents and guardians to closely monitor your child’s health. If your child has had a fever, please ensure they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication before returning to school. Additionally, if your child has been vomiting, we ask that you keep them home until they are symptom-free.
We have experienced an increase in illnesses over the past few weeks. While our staff is diligently sanitizing classrooms and common areas daily, we need your support to help prevent the spread of illnesses.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping our students and staff healthy.
If any students are interested in participating in baseball there will be a sign up at Bronco gymnasium in Clarendon Texas. Sign up are scheduled for Wednesday February 12th and 13th 2025 between 4pm and 6pm. Students must be 9-16 years old and cost is $50.00 which is due at sign up.
Hedley ISD is currently selling yearbooks from 1961-2020. If you would like to purchase a yearbook, please contact the school at (806) 856-5323. There are multiple copies for each year, and the price is $5.00 each.

What a fantastic way to wrap up the JH basketball season today ! Their commitment and perseverance will carry them far, both in sports and beyond. It’s always inspiring to see young athletes develop their skills and character through competition.Junior high athletics are about so much more than just the scoreboard—it’s about growth, teamwork, and determination. Our athletes have represented Hedley ISD with heart and dedication. Congratulations to them and their coaches for their hard work!
JH district tournament in Groom tomorrow. Girls will play at 9 am in the little gym and boys play at 10am in the big gym. Please have your player up at the school by 7:30am.
JH Girls and Boys play their final home game tomorrow night, January 30th. Games start at 5:00/6:00. Come out and support these athletes.

Update: due to illness there will not be a Varsity girls basketball game tonight against McLean. The Varsity boys will now play at 6pm and we will recognize the seniors before the boys game. Please come out and support the Owls and seniors. Thank you for your understanding as we are doing everything we can to get the students healthy again
Senior Night Basketball games on tomorrow night against McLean. Plan to come out and support the Hedley Owls. Game times are 6:00 and 7:15 with Seniors being recognized between the girls and boys game.

Please join Hedley ISD staff and students as we recognize January 27th as Holocaust -Remembrance Day. January 27th-31st is the week designated for Texas students to honor and remember the Holocaust and Holocaust Survivors.
Varsity Boys will now play at 6:00pm in Shamrock.
** Tonight's basketball game in Shamrock will be Varsity Boys only at 6:00pm! We are still experiencing sickness at Hedley ISD causing us not to have enough players on the Varsity Girls team. We appreciate your support and understanding.
Senior Night for Varsity basketball will be Tuesday January 28. We will celebrate the seniors between the girls and boys games against McLean. Please make plans to attend to celebrate the seniors!!
Update: the Varsity basketball games against Lefors are being rescheduled. The Varsity boys game is scheduled for Feb 11 at 5pm in Hedley. We are looking at playing the girls game against Lefors on Feb 7 in Groom since the Varsity boys play that day in Groom. We will make an official decision on time of the girls game as soon as possible.
There are no JH basketball games tomorrow. Next JH games will be next Thursday against White Deer at 5pm and 6pm!!
