Meet Becky Berry, our new paraprofessional!
Becky is no stranger to Hedley—she lived here from 1983 to 2005 and returned in 2020. Since then, she has served as a valued substitute teacher and is now excited to begin a new chapter as a Teacher’s Aide. Becky loves being part of the Hedley community and contributing to the success of our students at H.I.S.D.
She recently married her best friend, Mark Berry, who also enjoys calling Hedley home. We’re so glad to have Becky officially join our team—welcome aboard!

She took a break from teaching to raise their young kids. During that time their family was been working for various ranches across the nation and are now back home in Hedley. Their kids are excited to attend Hedley and looking forward to meeting their teachers and classmates.

We’re thrilled to welcome Valuree Hood and Coach Jonathan Hood to the Hedley family!
📚 Valuree Hood joins us as our new 4th and 5th grade Reading teacher! This is her 5th year in education. She has taught all core subjects in grades 1–6 and recently spent the last two years teaching 7th & 8th grade science, floral design, and art. She’s excited to return to her roots in elementary education and looks forward to an amazing year of learning and growth with her students.
Outside the classroom, Valuree enjoys spending time with her family—including her husband Jonathan and their two children. Their daughter Abbi will be a senior at Hedley this year and is active in Cross Country, track, basketball, and tennis, while their son Joshua lives in San Angelo. Valuree also enjoys fishing, reading, cooking desserts, and cheering on student athletes at games.
📐 Coach Jonathan Hood brings 9 years of teaching experience and 5 years of coaching to Hedley ISD. He’s taught everything from 7th grade math to Precalculus, and coached almost every sport—on both the boys’ and girls’ side! This year, he’ll be teaching high school math and coaching multiple sports.
Coach Hood is a builder, movie buff, and avid gamer, and he’s always up for a conversation about fine cuisine. He’s looking forward to a fun, challenging, and rewarding year with his students and athletes.
Please help us give the Hoods a warm Hedley welcome—we’re lucky to have them on the team! 💛🦉💛

We are excited to welcome Stephanie Daniels to the Hedley ISD family! She will be teaching 6th and 7th Grade Math and 6th-8th Grade Science.
Here’s a little about Mrs. Daniels:
*"I am so excited to be at Hedley! This will be my second year teaching, but I have over six years of experience working in school settings. I am passionate about math and learning in general, and I cannot wait to get students excited about it as well!
Outside of school, I love to read — my Kindle or a good book is always with me. I also enjoy spending time in the mountains of Colorado, especially around La Veta. My husband and I recently built a tiny cabin there over the 4th of July weekend so we can camp more often with our three kiddos ❤️."*
Please help us give Mrs. Daniels a warm Hedley welcome!
